Introduction

This reflective report takes into account a self-reflection of conducting activities and developing tasks with knowledge and skills through a personal experience. Thus, I will discuss the requirements of the assignment and also how my post graduate studies led me to my knowledge gaining and enhanced my learning by taking into account some reasons as to why I chose to study the Business Environment and Economics and how this has helped me in my real life experiences. I will also mention the motivation and means of undertaking Business Environment and Economics as my postgraduate subject and how this reflective assessment will help me pin down my experiences and outcomes.

Reflective discussion

Business can be defined as a means of conducting any commercial activity relating to a particular industry and are organized efforts of individuals to produce and sell services and products for the purpose of attaining some monetary gain. I believe that any person at a certain point of his or her life has engaged in business or has assessed a business environment as it is the commercial aspect that we deal with almost every day of our lives (Travers, Morisano, & Locke, 2015). Business is not conducted for the purpose of any social service, rather it is a strategic gain developing activity and comes in various forms such as Sole proprietorship business, partnership or a Joint stock company.

This course was chosen by me because I had an interest in learning about the business activities and the commercial activities and how some activities can be business or non-business. Also, I wanted to be an entrepreneur in future. Therefore, in order to achieve my goal, I had to know about business types and rules of business, therefore this is the most important reason why I chose learning a business environment (Lee Spendlove, 2020).

I have had an experience in the field of business activities as my father has his own small clothing business which was run by him and me collectively. That is where I gained some practical knowledge regarding sales and profitability as well as the need of satisfying consumers in order to make business successful. Also, I had an interest in learning about the functionalities of business and how it makes a human more skilled in developing activities that can provide him monetary gain (Schippers, 2017).

The business experience that I gained through my father’s business has helped me to gain interest in business learning and therefore I chose Business Environment and Economics to enhance my knowledge and use my business skills to establish my own business. For instance, I was always helpful to my father in small activities of business such as handling the deliveries and maintaining the stocks such that it helped me to gain ideas about business functioning.

I always make sure that all activities that are assigned to me are conducted on time and that I apply my own personal experiences in some places. I also conducted a considerable amount of research that helped me conduct all the tasks effectively. Also, I prefer to listen to the assessors instructions and note them down for future references such that there is less scope of errors and mis-management of work.

I always manage my time and monitor the work that I am doing and also make sure to review my work from a senior such that any mistakes can be corrected initially. I also develop pre-planning before starting my coursework and make sure that I submit all my tasks before the deadline assigned to me (Travers, Morisano& Locke, 2015). Also I made sure that whatever work I am doing, I do it with concentration and passion to give my best and use my skills to complete my assignments.

Business studies have a diverse scope and it is well known that many people can gain a lot of good knowledge from business and Economics as these subjects help students like us to know the functioning of business and what skills and theoretical concept is essential to conduct a business (Schippers, 2017). As my goal is to be a business person, it is essential for me to carry on with this course as the motivation will be helpful for me. Even if I don't engage in business, i could be a professor and teach such subjects to students and impart knowledge to the future generations. Also if my siblings or friends want any assistance from me on any matters relating to business and its function would be of good help to them.

I would like to set goals of establishing knowledge and extensive learning by the end of this course as I would be fully equipped with all the business concepts. Also, this assessment and course would help me understand the business environment better and also make research on changes that are occuring in the recent business scenario (Brunstein, Sambiase, &Brunnquell, 2018). Thus, in order to understand the changing business scenario, it is very important that I set learning and skill development goals with the use of practical knowledge and also undertake all tasks within the deadline with extensive and in depth research of all the business and economic concepts (Schippers, 2017). 

Conclusion

This reflection has been a very good way for me to evaluate my performance and also improve myself in my academic activities. I will try to follow all the goals and objectives that are set down by me and make sure that it is a good experience for me while conducting this coursework.
