Introduction
What is this case study about?
How can we use intentional teaching to foster pro social behaviours in positive learning environments?
In this section give an introduction to the assignment. Make sure the topic you select is aligned with the topic from the assessment description in the unit outline, (it could be rephrased as a question you want to answer, or a statement of what you are investigating) .
Start by telling the reader what this assignment is about.
Be as clear as you can be so it is clear what you are writing about
For example: This contextual analysis seeks to better understand.....
Once you have introduced the topic state what you are going to do in order do the assignment. Provide a logical sequence that takes me through the structure of the paper. This is called sign posting.
State what you are going to do, in order to answer the question, or investigate the topic. For example: In answering this question this paper will first discuss literature related
Demographic information
In this section discuss the important demographic information about the centre/ school and group/class. You should still think of this as part of the introduction, but instead of introducing the topic, you are introducing the reader to the context. Do not mention the schools' name or the name of the teacher. Be general, for example do not say its a Lutheran co-ed school, say it is a co-educational lutheran school, with approximately 600 students. The school is in an urban/ inner city rural area. Analysis was undertaken in a year 1 classroom with 23 children. How many boys? How many girls?
This may include things like:
location
number of children and families any special things about the centre/ school - cultural affiliation, centre affiliation information about the teacher, perhaps how long they have been teaching physical or other characteristics of the site (is there lots of space, is it urban or rural, do families travel to it from far away, etc?)
