1. Your analysis should include a comparative assessment of cultural, institutional, political, economic, technological and/or other factors that have shaped the approaches taken in each country.
2. A major German automotive manufacturer is planning to commence operations in China. Identify the cross-cultural and other people -related issues it is likely to encounter and describe the HRM strategies it may need to adopt to ensure a smooth takeover and effective ongoing operation
3. Examine the extent to which HRM practices of leading MNEs in a leading industry sector (your choice) are becoming standardised across their international subsidiaries or are remaining largely locally determined.
4. Changing world circumstances noted in the literature are causing MNEs to use more flexible and virtual forms of global staffing. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of such staffing arrangements from an IHRM perspective, providing examples from real world organizations.
