Distribution of fashion apparel

With the growing trend in the fashion industry, the demand for the delivery of fashion apparel to the customer is increasing.  Certain customer segments value this service, and fashion apparel manufacturer/retailers can make good profits through customer delivery service. Consider the distribution of fashion apparel in dense suburban environments; middle to large cities. Answer the following questions:

1. Discuss and propose one linear delivery network that a fashion apparel manufacturer/retailer could establish to offer the delivery service. Consider a sustainable strategy to minimise resources and establish an effective service for the customer base. Draw an arc diagram (network graph) for your proposed delivery network and discuss the reason for your selection. Write all your assumptions. You can include, for example, distribution centres, warehouses, factories, and retailers. 

2. Based on your proposed delivery network, develop an Excel model that can be used to calculate profits. The calculation is for profits only and not for optimisation (assuming a single delivery), according to your proposed delivery network. In addition to the cost of your delivery network, you may also consider other cost factors such as weight and dimension of goods/parcel, delivery time window, and special delivery notes.
