Highlights
The lab will be grade on correctness and completeness. The network must be fully functional and operational for lab to be awarded a grade of A or B.
The network must be configured with the information given in the network diagram and the lab description. If information is not given, make the necessary assumptions to complete the work.
Use Packet Tracer Cisco router 1941 add T1 CSU/DSU serial cards to each router [serial0/0/0 and serial0/0/1].
Use Cisco switch 2960.
Routers hostnames are R1,R2,R3,R4, and R5.
The configuration goes from left to right as shown in the diagram below.
R1 is configured as the DHCP server to assign dynamic IP address configuration for VLAN10 and VLAN11.
VLAN10 network is 123.123.10.0/24, the default gateway for VLAN10 is gig0/0.10 with the IP address 123.123.10.1/24. The address pool name is NET10, excluded IP range is 123.123.10.1 to 123.123.10.250, domain name is cyberops.net, and the DNS server IP address 123.123.12.100.
VLAN11 network is 123.123.11.0/24, the default gateway for VLAN11 is gig0/0.11 with the IP address 123.123.11.1/24. The address pool name is NET11, excluded IP range is 123.123.11.1 to 123.123.11.250, domain name is cyberops.net, and the DNS server IP address 123.123.12.100.
On R1 interface gig0/1 IP address 123.123.12.1 connected directly to the DNS server with a crossover cable. DNS server IP address 123.123.12.100.
On R1 configure serial0/0/1 with IP address 194.1.1.2/30 which is connected to R2 serial0/0/1 with the IP address of 192.1.1.1/30.
Rename Switch1 hostname is SW1. On SW1 configure fastethernet range fa0/1 to fa0/9 as switch access ports for VLAN10.
On SW1 configure fastethernet range fa0/10 to fa0/20 as switch access ports for VLAN11.
On SW1 configure fastethernet fa0/24 as trunk port.
On R2 configure serial0/0/0 with IP address 194.1.1.5/30 which is connected to R3 serial0/0/0 with the IP address of 192.1.1.6/30.
On R3 configure serial0/0/1 with IP address 194.1.1.9/30 which is connected to R4 serial0/0/1 with the IP address of 192.1.1.10/30.
Configure R3 with OSPF process ID 295, and area 0, and route all it connected interface networks.
R3 is the network core router. Make sure to configured VTY Telnet access to this router with the password as cisco. Make sure that you can Telnet to R3 from my computer on the network.
No telnet or enable password should be configured for the rest of the routers and switches.
On R4 configure serial0/0/0 with IP address 194.1.1.14/30 which is connected to R5 serial0/0/0 with the IP address of 192.1.1.13/30.
On R5 configure gig0/0.20 IP address 124.124.20.1 as the default gateway for VLAN20.
On R5 configure gig0/0.21 IP address 124.124.22.1 as the default gateway for VLAN21.
On R5 configure gig0/1 IP address 124.124.12.1 as the default gateway for the FTP server that has the IP address of 124.124.12.100. The FTP server is directly connected to R5-gig0/1 with a crossover cable.
Configure R5 with OSPF process ID 295, and area 0, and route all it connected interface networks.
Rename Switch2 hostname is SW2. On SW2 configure fastethernet range fa0/1 to fa0/9 as switch access ports for VLAN20.
On SW2 configure fastethernet range fa0/10 to fa0/20 as switch access ports for VLAN21.
On SW2 configure fastethernet fa0/24 as trunk port.
Configure R5 as the DHCP server to assign dynamic IP address configuration for VLAN20 and VLAN21.
VLAN20 network is 124.124.20.0/24, the default gateway for VLAN20 is gig0/0.20 with the IP address 124.124.20.1/24. The address pool name is NET20, excluded IP range is 124.124.20.1 to 124.124.20.250, domain name is cyberops.net, and the DNS server IP address 123.123.12.100.
VLAN21 network is 124.124.21.0/24, the default gateway for VLAN21 is gig0/0.21 with the IP address 124.124.21.1/24. The address pool name is NET21, excluded IP range is 124.124.21.1 to 124.124.21.250, domain name is cyberops.net, and the DNS server IP address 123.123.12.100.
All routers must be configured with OSPF routing protocol with process ID 295, and area 0, and route all it connected interface networks.
All network devices should be reachable via ping and trace route commands. With one exception. Configure a security ACL that prevents Computers from VLAN11 network 123.123.11.0/24 to ping the FTP server IP network 124.124.12.100.
All network devices should be able to reach the DNS and the FTP servers.
