Mr and Mrs Gunning and their two children, aged eight and ten, wish to book flights to Honolulu and stay seven nights in a beachfront hotel. The hotel must be located on iconic Waikiki beach. They would also like to experience a range of activities and tours during their stay.
Rachael has asked you to source the following information.  Complete each answer and then using the email template provided write an email to Rachael outlining what you have found.  As this is an internal email you may use bullet points to outline your research.
Source information on airlines which fly to Honolulu, Hawaii.
a) Using the internet find out which airlines fly direct (non-stop) services between Sydney and Honolulu.  List them below.

b) Access the Jetstar website Help (‘Ask Jess’) or Online Chat (if applicable) and ask what the carry-on baggage allowance for economy class passengers is for flights between Sydney and Honolulu.  Take a screenshot of your “chat” and insert below.
c) Compare the airlines checked luggage policy for the Sydney to Honolulu route and identify which of the airlines provides the most generous checked (not carry-on) luggage allowance for economy class?
d) Mobile phone check-in is a new and emerging technology which offers travelers the option of checking-in for their flights via their smart phone. Do any of these airlines offer the option of mobile phone check-in for international flights?
Using the internet find three (3) absolute beachfront hotels located on Waikiki Beach?  List them below.
Access one of the many Hawaii Travel information sites and name five (5) tourist attractions or activities available on the island of Oahu

Attractions and theme parks:  Name a supplier that you can use to purchase tickets to the USS Arizona Memorial or a tour of Pearl Harbor.

a) In your role as a retail travel agent with OTEN Travel, you have advised your client that the Aston Waikiki Sunset Hotel in Honolulu is located on the beachfront when in fact it is located several blocks from the beach.  By providing the wrong information would you and/or your employer be in breach of the Australian Consumer Law Act?  Explain your answer.
b) What steps could you take to ensure that the information given to your client meets their needs and is accurate and current?
