Compose a learning journal that reflects your learning so far.
The Learning Journal is intended for you to take stock and monitor how you are developing knowledge, insights and skills from course readings; small and large group discussions; research; online forums; and assessments. The criteria on which your journal will be assessed include:
How your ideas have develop and the insights you’ve had
How you’ve drawn upon learning material to demonstrate the advancement of your thinking and skills
How you’ve been able to personalize and attribute meaning to your development
How well you’ve structured and presented your thoughts.
The Learning Journal does not require any formal academic research but asks you to recall and reflect on aspects of the unit which have enabled you to expand and deepen your knowledge; recognize connections between what you already know and what you have learnt; develop new appreciations and insights; and develop and enhance skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and management of your skills progression. It is an opportunity to gain self-knowledge and conduct self-appraisal as an active and critical learner which is a valuable skill for beginning and managing your career.
