Introduction
The role of the introduction is to attract the interest of a reader and provide a basic roadmap of the essay. Whilst it is good to provide some context, you should be getting straight into the question/subject matter of the essay. A good introduction should stimulate the interest of the reader to read on. It should also be a road map, telling the reader how your arguments will unfold and the key points that you will be making through your arguments.
Main Body/Argument
Obviously, this is the bulk of your essay, where you outline your argument and evidence to support it. Remember to stay on topic and to address your questions analytically rather than descriptively, i.e. investigating the causesbehind certain phenomenon or breaking down a topic down to examine and interpret it rather than simply outlining the facts. You should be supporting your statements with examples wherever possible. Finally, remember to follow the structure you (should) have outlined in the introduction.
Conclusion
The conclusion should be more than just a mere summary of your above argument; it needs to contain some indication as to why it has worth while discussing this question and/or what are the relevance of your findings. It also gives you the chance to reiterate/state explicitly what your answer to the question is now that after you have provided all of evidence in the body. The conclusion should not contain any new aspects of your argument not covered in the body.
