The aim of assignment 3 is to develop a chatbot web application based on the proposal and presentation you submitted for assignment 1 and 2. The software should show how the idea works for the real application.

BASIC FUNCTIONALITY
WEB SERVICE (API) IN THE SYSTEM
Except Web Speech API, your system should use at least three web-services (API) from the following list.

• Geolocation API
• Place API
• News API
• Other Web APIs
• Web crawling

DIALOG SCRIPT
The system should be based on the pre-defined dialog scripts. You should have at least one predefined dialog scripts for your system. The following can be an example of a dialog script. The predefined dialog scripts should have at least 10 lines (5 system + 5 user) combined with APIs and AI techniques.

SPEECH DETECTION ERROR HANDLING
When the system cannot understand the user’s response (i.e. catching a wrong word), it should ask again to get the correction or let the user know that it did not catch.
e.g. “Sorry, Wenli. I don’t understand.”

USER INTERFACE
The main user interface of the proposed system should be text-based or voice-based interface using Web Speech API since the system will be used for chatbot. Interface elements include but are not limited to:

-Input Controls: buttons, text fields, toggles, date field.
-Display Components: icons, text fields, image fields.

PERSONALISATION
The proposed system should be intelligent, which means it should use artificial intelligent (AI) technique. By using AI techniques, your system must be included NLP technique and another two AI functions from the following: 1) react differently based on user’s opinions 2) predict user’s decision using classification model or clustering model. 3) recommend the user’s next behavior or plan. All functions should be rendered with the predefined dialog script.
