Larcom, Rauch and Willems (2017) study whether commuters on the London Underground (the  Tube) follow an optimal route in their commute to work. They construct an experiment based  on a Tube strike in February 2014. The strike led to many station closures, forcing commuters  to find alternative routes. The authors study whether commuters made lasting changes to  their routes after experimenting with new routes during the strike. They use data on Oyster  card usage to track commuting routes.  The dataset samestation.dta contains data for different commuters (identified by variable id)  on whether they use the same entry and exit station that they used most frequently during  the prestrike period, the “modal station” (variable samestation). It also contains an indicator  variable equal to 1 for the period after the strike (variable post), and a treatment indicator  equal to 1 for individuals who deviate from their typical prestrike journey during the strike, in terms of stations used (variable strikeswitch). The dataset duration.dta contains data on  the duration of the commute, in logs (variable ln_duration)

Task
A- Explain how you can use the information provided in the dataset samestation.dta to  estimate a difference-in-differences model to test the effect of the strike on the  probability that the individual uses the modal station. Write down the estimated  equation and explain each variable in the regression. Include individual fixed effects in  the model and explain why this is desirable. 
B- Estimate the model in part a) separately for two outcome variables using the two datasets provided: whether commuters use the modal station (use samestation.dta),  and the duration of the commute (use duration.dta). Interpret the results.
