1.0 Introduction
The consequences of volcanic eruptions and its estimating is a challenging task.  Its impacts depend on the style, magnitude, dynamicity and intensity of eruptions and vulnerability of surrounding areas, and can vary in size and temporal and spatial scaleThe volcanic eruption at Mount Etna in Sicily are characterized by persistent activity from the craters, consisting of degassing and explosive phenomena associated with fast-moving lava flows1,2, and recurrent effusive eruptions from vents located on the flanks of the volcano, producing lava flows that can extend for several kilometres (about 3–5km) (Andronico, 2005).The aim of this report is to generate lava flow hazard analysis on mount etna and the objectives include generating spatial risk map for Lava flow inundation for the communities on the flank of Mount Etna
2.0 Methodology
In order to generate lava flow hazard analysis the satellite image was downloaded, processed and interpreted to yield a standard  landuse landcover classes using landuse classification standard procedure , the elevation data was used to get the direction of flow of the induration the landuse land cover was ranked according to the risk for using multi-criterial evaluation to generate the risk map for the lava flow 

2.2 Remote sensing of volcanic features
Land use classification standard procedure using remote sensing using multispectral information for each pixel in an image is analysed to identify, distinguish and group different land cover types (e.g., Mather 1987; Lillesand and Kiefer 1987).  depending on their characteristic, composite  band was generated using raster data process tool of Arcgis and  training data was  generated using the image classification tool of the software to run unsupervised classification determines groups of pixels on the basis  of spectral characteristics, of each pixels, the  contour was generated from SRTM data which was classified according the elevation of the study area, then overlay analysis  of the contour and landuse classification give the visual assessment of elevation and how the landuse impacted, the Lava flow risk map was obtain using the  UNESCO formula (1972) was adopted which  is   Risk = Hazard X Venerability  X Value  this was done using overlay analysis of all the parameter involve
