As the consulting engineer of this project, you had designated the experimental programme to be performed at different layers of soil profile, for instance sieve analyses, Atterberg limit test (Casagrande method) and particle density test. Figure 1(b) is the bore-log of Borehole 1 (BH1) and the elevation of BH1 is 9.2, BH2 is 12.5 and BH3 is 11.0. The water table was found at 2.0 m below the ground surface.
