Unfortunately, as she was late for an important meeting, she could not go into the shop to buy it, but as soon as her meeting was finished she wrote to Musonda agreeing to buy the mask for the stated price of K1,000. The letter was posted at 11:30 am. Later on the same day, Mbuzi visited Musonda’s shop and said he would like the body lotion but was only willing to pay K900 for it. Musonda replied that she would accept K950 for the gold mask, but Nguzu insisted that he was only willing to pay K900 and left the shop. However, on his journey to the plantation, Mbuzi realised that K950 was actually a very good price for the body lotion and he immediately wrote to Musonda agreeing to buy it for that price. His letter was posted at 12:30 pm. Just before closing time at 5 pm. Mundia came into Musonda’s shop and also offered K900 for the body lotion. This time Musonda agreed to sell the mask at that price and Mundia promised to return the following Monday with the money. On Monday morning, Musonda received both of the letters from Chisa and Mbuzi before Mundia could arrive to pay and collect the mask.
