Successfully carve PDF files only from the selected (.dd) file using Foremost.
Use the MD5 algorithm via the command line on one (1) carved PDF file.
Open the hashed PDF file to view its content.
 

Part B:
Download a suitable (.dd) image, containing a JPG file from https://cfreds-archive.nist.gov/FileCarving/index.htmlUse the SHA1 algorithm to hash the selected (.dd) file.
Successfully carve JPG files only from the case study (.dd) image using Scalpel.
Use the SHA1 algorithm via the command line on one (1) JPG file.
Open the hashed JPG file to view its content.
You are recommended to use the Microsoft Azure Virtual Lab provided to you in this unit to complete this task. Alternatively, you may use another virtualisation setup on your own workstation. Should you choose to use your own workstation and/or virtualised environment, the support you receive to troubleshoot technical difficulties will be limited.
