His father was a senior officer in President Saddam Hussein's government and it was through this connection that Jacob was selected for study in 2000 at the University of Baghdad for a degree in petroleum engineering, as Iraq was an OPEC member and major oil exporter. The intention was that when Jacob graduated from university, he could, with his father's influence, get a plum job in the Ministry of Oil. However, by the time Jacob was able to finish his degree in 2003, Saddam Hussein was already on the verge of being purged and had gone into hiding, so Jacob's dream of landing a plum job in government soon evaporated. If he could get to Australia away from the chaos of Britain and Brexit and if he can be sponsored by an employer who is prepared to fund his project, he is positive he can develop his project fully to production stage. 'Think of the environmental impact and economic benefits if a car owner only needs to put normal tap water in the tank and does not need to rely on petrol!' exclaims Jacob.
