Topic : Prediction of freezing of gait in Parkinson’s disease using machine learning

Below are the main points that needs to be considered

1. Our project is to compare the different ways of classifying FOG in Parkinson’s Disease patients and to determine the best parameter for creating an algorithm that will help in prediction of freezing of gait in PD patients

2. We make it a three class problem:-

• Walk
• Pre-FoG
• FoG(freezing of gait)

3. Making it a 3-class problem helps predicting the onset of FoG before it occurs.

• compare the multiple machine learning models based on data from accelerometers.
• The daphnet dataset will be analyzed to extract the motions pattern of PD patients.
• To make use of signal processing algorithms in extracting gait parameters from motion sensors and identifying the most suitable parameters for classification of freezing of gait in PD patients.
