An aircraft with four turbojet engines in a steady state horizontal level flight is considered – symmetric longitudinal equations. The data for this aircraft is attached.
a) Develop the transfer functions for u/Vp, ?, and ?. These can be left in symbolic form.
b) Develop the characteristics of the modes of the above-mentioned dynamic equations.
Hint: Form the matrix coefficients S11 through S33 and S1, S2, S3, and use symmetric longitudinal equations (Equation 109) from 3rd lecture series: Linearisation of Aircraft Equations of Motion.
