Research an organisations Environmental Management System (EMS). Ensure that you locate and review all of the following: – The organisation's environmental policy – The results of the environmental impact analysis/environmental audit completed when the EMS was designed or any that have been completed since its implementation – The organisation's current environmental objectives and targets – The current, approved Environmental Management Plan for the overall organisation (or equivalent) – Information on responsibilities for implementing the EMS and how and when reporting takes place – Information on monitoring & evaluation of the system – Training options or information – Evidence that the system has been improved over time.   2. Locate a corporate template for EMPs. Get a copy of it for later use. 3. Obtain at least two (2) examples of project or site EMPs for projects. Review the contents of these different plans to compare and contrast them. Describe how they differ and why. 4. Investigate the legal obligations for environmental management that apply to building and construction organisations in your State or Territory. 5. Make a list that summarises each obligation and note which pieces of legislation or policy it derives from. 6. Prioritise your list to identify the top 5 legal requirements, and explain why you consider these to be the most important 7. Review one of the EMPs you located earlier 8. Critique this EMP, by explaining what it does well and what it does poorly. Describe how you would improve it. 9. Draft an environmental management plan for a work location.
