Most of non-for-profit and charity organizations have the same target: attracting and collecting as much of money (or donation) from the public as they can. There is real competition among them. They compete against each other about everything: projects, marketing campaigns, business structure… and even customer service. In this competition, Donation Collection System (DCS) is also an important factor. Nowadays, donation is switching from traditional payment method – donating cash to an office staff, to contactless payment technology – donating online. The DCS is another channel for foundations to raise reserves in an indirectly way without expanding organizations’ personnel system or costs. Therefor, the system must be friendly using for both side: the organization itself and the donors. The business process of donation collection provides a platform for donors to donate online using their devices connected to the Internet. From the DCS, donors can search and choose from a range of donation types, programs, projects in different regions within Australia with variety fields such as education, health, supporting women or community. The system will list all organizations with their available projects, then donors can specify their amount of donation. Donors can also choose their preferred method of payment. Donors can donate anonymously or as a registered member. Donations can be made one-off or regularly (monthly or yearly). After donors have registered, DCS will create a database to store donor’s personal information on the system and help donor manage their donation account easily. If the users do not want to register, the system will prompt for relevant personal details to continue processing. There are three main actors in the donation collection business process: donors, the donation collection system and financial parties. The financial parties are the third party collecting money from donors and distributing it back to the organizations. The objective of this process is that donors can conveniently navigate through and donate to the projects/projects they wish to donate to and the organizations can collect money in an easy platform.
