Directions Part a): Presentation 
1. Identify a self-management/health promoting topic targeting clients. Review the literature surrounding your chosen topic and develop a session plan identifying key learning objectives for your audience.
2. Prepare a 10-20-minute teaching/learning episode. When developing the session consider key factors that may hinder the learning process and plan how you will attempt to overcome these. Also plan and prepare the evaluation process you will undertake. 
3. Present the session to your target audience and seek feedback from the session. 
Part b): Summary
Following the presentation, you must write an academic paper that shows evidence of knowledge and understanding of the potential strategies to improve education and promotion of self-management. This will be in the form of an evaluation of your teaching episode. The summary will incorporate critical reflection of your planning, preparation and delivery and should include your reflection on feedback obtained from participants. With your paper you may include your session plan, any notes or AV presentation material and / or other supporting materials as appendices, this will provide evidence that you planned and delivered a teaching session. The summary is not to give a detailed account of the content of your session.
