Assignment Task 

The NSW Government has awarded a contract to WSQ Construction Ptd Ltd to construct a 11km light rail project which will cost 1.5billion AUD. The light rail line will run from Parramatta Central Business District to Ryde via the Western Sydney University, Rydalmere. The project is to be completed within 2 years and will require the use of the latest technological tools such as drones, 3D printing and Digital Twin during construction. The project will employ more than 200 permanent and casual workers from diverse ethnic, age and cultural backgrounds. Majority of the workers will be skilled. This project is of great interest to the local community as it will affect their daily activities.

As the project leader develop your leadership approach for this project focusing on the following tasks;

• Assess your leadership skills/traits using any of the leadership style/skills assessment questions provided on vUWS, Assessment 1 folder.
• Based on your personal leadership traits score, discuss the leadership style you will adopt and provide reasons why this leadership style is suitable for you and the project’s success
• Discuss the key Emotional Intelligence skills/elements that will be required for your selected leadership style.
