• The reassessment for this module comprises an individual academic essay of 3000 words comprising of two parts.

• Part A: In September 2020, President Donald Trump banned US federal agencies from conducting diversity training, calling it “divisive propaganda.” Critically evaluate the research looking at the effectiveness of diversity training making use of appropriate academic literature.

• Part B: With reference to one strand of diversity (gender, age, sexual orientation, race, disability, religion), outline the role of HR and line managers in promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace (1,500 words)
• Note 1: In relation to Part A, please take note that the question asks you “look at the effectiveness of diversity training making use of appropriate academic literature”. The question does not require an appraisal (positive or negative) of President Trump. Please remain focused on the question posed.
• Note 2: please adopt an academic, 3rd person style and observe the Harvard referencing system in the essay itself and in the list of references at the end of your essay. Try to include at least two of the following precepts in the main body of your essay: socialisation; social identity; ethnocentricity; cultural determinism; cultural relativism. • Conclusions – A short conclusion should be provided to each part of the essay: 10%
