Perform a formal hypothesis
1. A chemical process to manufacture fertilizer is studied to determine whether a manufacturing process performed at a remote location (Site 0) can be established at a new facility (Site 1) based on a different production process.
Test devices (pilots) were set up at both the old and new locations and concentra tion readings of 30 production runs at each location were obtained. The data are available in the file concentration.csv.
(a) Produce a boxplot to show the difference in concentration between the two locations. Comment on your boxplot.
(b) Compare the mean concentration voltage readings at the two locations using a 95% confidence interval. Based on the interval, does it appear that the manufacturing process can be established at the new facility?
(c) Perform a formal hypothesis test at the 5% level of significance for the hy pothesis that the mean concentration level differs for the two locations. State clearly your hypotheses, testing method and conclusions
