Task 1:Performance and Planning

For this task you should refer to the first part of the Case Study. You are asked to incorporate and apply principles, theories and processes of performance management. KPI analysis and forecasting to the data provided in the case. Specifically you are required to:

a) Critically analyse the key trends and areas of strength and weakness in the operations by using KPI analysis.

b) Prepare a financial performance dashboard (using excel or Power BI) to display your KPI analysis on one page 

c) Recommend 2-3 specific actions to improve performance in the next 12 month period.

d) Prepare a forecast for the next 3-year financial period based on the information provided and incorporating your recommended changes. Indicate what actions and areas of focus will be important for management in terms of spending and organising over the coming 2-3 years. 

Task 2: Investment Analysis

For this task you should refer to the second part of the Case Study. You are asked to incorporate and apply principles, theories and processes of Investment Evaluation and selection to the data provided in the case. Specifically you are required to:

a) Critically Evaluate the current investment policy and recommend any changes to improve future performance (2-3 recommended changes is suitable). 

b) Analyse the investment data provided and rank the investments according to financial and non-financial metrics You should show tables or other visual representations of your ranking of all investments for management to be able to evaluate and critique your methodology and rankings; and; and finally

c) Recommend between 2-4 investments to undertake for the next Investment period that fit the investment policy and justify these selections. If your recommendations are outside the investment policy as noted by your recommended changes you may follow your amended investment policies and or provide a justification for your selections.
