TASK Undertake a literature review of the challenges of meeting in Low volume roads (LRV’s). Develop selection criteria for low volume roads. i.e., road survey planning, design, future safety, maintenance, social issues and environmental aspects. Select approximately five roads for research, e.g., primary, secondary, tertiary, local roads and unspecified roads. Selection criteria will include road types, lengths, and pavement design.
