The ability for an individual academic user in Viya For Learners (VFL) to upload data into their Home directory in SAS Studio for use in SAS Studio, SAS Visual Analytics (VA), and Jupyter. o

  • Individual User Data Upload (data is not shared); only the individual user can view and access the data. Other VFL users cannot see or access the data that is in the user’s Home directory. o
  • File Size limits in individual user’s Home directory in VFL
    • 5 GB: Network File System (NFS) storage max per user (on Home directory)
    • 100 MB: File size limit per file
    • Note: If ‘Home’ directory fills up across Shared Storage, ALL users could be blocked from accessing their individual ‘Home’ directory
  • File Quota Dashboard in VFL
    • Toolbar is located at the bottom of the VFL application screen (toolbar was previously referred to as the ‘Orange’ buttons)
    • Data Quota Dashboard ‘Gauge’ and ‘More Info’ can be accessed through the button
    • Gauge displays the file usage in the user’s Home directory (up to 5 GB) (see below)
    • NOTE: the icon changes color based on the level of usage
