• The group project is designed to develop your knowledge and practical skills in creating a written communications plan aimed at a target market in a global environment. It is expected that each group member will make an equal contribution to the project. 
• Students are expected to choose one task from the list of available group projects. The written plan will include an analysis of competitors' promotion, strategic communications objectives, an analysis of the target market, development of appropriate message and choice of most appropriate medium. There should also be a financial analysis of the plan and identification of the feedback method. 

The Task: 
To develop a communications plan. The 'product' or task is from the list of group projects supplied in this unit. Remember your plan may be for the common target market in multiple (foreign) global locations or for one global market. 

Timing and Budget 
Launch timing is dependent on the communications plan. A budget is required but exact costs are not required. Talk to your Facilitator about this. 

The Product 
You will be given the 'product' about which you will design the communications plan. You are encouraged to use your own creativity, initiative, inventiveness and imagination in coming up with the message, but of course, it must be relevant to the product and the intended audience.
