“Fast and furious” is an amusement park located in Coffs Harbour NSW. They have many roller coasters and other rides.

Lex was riding on one of the very fast roller coasters when the carriage she was in had the wheels sheared off and detached from the track. The carriage was dragged around the track for another 60 metres as Jack the attendant was not aware of the location of the emergency stop button.   

Lex could no longer hold on in the overhanging carriage and fell some 10 metres sustaining  severe injuries to her back and neck.

The ride had not had a maintenance service for two years.

There was a clause on Lex’s ticket that said “ Fast and Furious will not be liable for any injury, however caused, on any ride as they are a risky activity”
