SolidWorks Assignment Help:

Task: The purpose of this laboratory is to introduce, design and analyse simplified and well known planar mechanisms. You must be familiar with solidworks to complete this lab. 4-bar linkage modelling Using Lecture 904/905 as a guide, design a four bar linkage to oscillate a link of length 500mm through an angle of 90? about a fixed axis. The crank is to be located 700mm away from the fixed axis of the reciprocating link. In its extreme left hand position, the link is to make an angle of 45? to the normal position (Normal position is a straight line extending upwards from the fixed axis.) Your gear box design has the following limitations, • The ratio which you are tasked to achieve is 1:14. • The smallest gear pitch circle diametre is 20mm. • The smallest modulus allowed is 1. • Compound gear train implementations maximum distance between the top and bottom plate is 10.5mm (3x3.5mm acrylic sheets). • Epicyclic gear train implementations maximum distance between the top and bottom plate is 21mm. • Your gearbox design must fit within 100mm x 100mm. No part of the gearbox can protrude outside of this envelope. Designs that do not adhere to the previous specifications will not be accepted and penalised when marking. Design a gear train, compound or epicylic which meets the requirements. Calculate that your chosen design meets the specified ratio of 1:14, showing all working. Justify your design decisions.
