As a suggestion, a typical report should follow the below structure but you may wish to lay out your  report differently. However, in your written communication, you need to demonstrate core  competencies in communication and presentation skills. Reports need to be divided into easy-to find sections that are clearly labelled with headings and subheadings and any technical information  that would clutter the body of your report should be specified as appendices. It is mandatory to use  IEEE citation regardless of the structure of the report that you adopt.
Suggested report structure:
- Title Page
- Executive Summary
- Table of Contents
- Introduction
- Body
- References
- Appendices (submitted as Supplementary documents).
