Mental Health Clinical Case Study Assessment Answer

Assignment Task: Q 1 - MSE components, you need to provide details for example, if the patient is delusional, you need to be more descriptive, what type of delusion and the content of the patient's delusional thinking and so on.. always provide evidence/examples from the case study and you are encouraged to use direct quotes/patient's own words... No references are needed in completing The mental status examination (MSE) or the Risks You need to list 4 risks in ,and provide explanation from the video/case study, why you think this is a risk. Do not include patient's symptoms as risks, eg: if the patient is delusional, DO NOT use delusional thinking as a risk, it a factual mental health symptoms.  I have included an attachment on vuws on various risks and also we practices on this activity in class last week and this week as well. Commonly associated risks in mental health include: risk of suicide, risk of aggression, if substance abuse involved - may be risk of withdrawl from substance, risk of SH, risk of absconding, homocidal risk, risk of violence or aggression, risk of non-compliance with medication, sexual risk, harm to reputation, risk of further deterioration of patient's mental state, especially if there is non-compliance with medication ... and so on.. Depending on the context and the scenario in the video you chose 4 risks How many references needed? As per marking criteria, minimum of 5 recent publications (mix of texts and research/journal articles within last 5 years of publications). Q 2 - the care plan, to maximize your marks, you need to state the right intervention for the priority problem, AND explain what does this intervention involve, AND back it up by the literature, same with the rationales, you do this for the required 3 interventions and rationales Q3 - the critique of interview, we are critiquing the quality, the processes of the interview not the content, meaning if the nurse did not ask specific questions about pt's history, drug history, DO NOT include this as a negative element of the interview (this is content and we are not interested in this).  Similarly, if the nurse asked the patient all the good/right questions.... DO NOT include this as a positive element of the interview (this is content...same as above). To maximize your marks in completing this question, it is not enough to just mention or list 4 positives and 2 negative, you need to provide evidence from the case study, for example as per this week's Constantine, it is not enough to state the nurse introduced herself and her role... you need to provide details and you may use "quotes" from the video, you may say that the nurse introduced herself by stating "my name is Barbara" and her role 'I am a nurse working in .....".  Another example, if you chose the nurse used open-ended questions, this is good example, but you need to provide more details/explanation/evidence/examples from the case study.
