The current systems of commerce are collaborative. None of us can address the sustainability crisis alone. Form into max 5 students in a team and pick one (1) out of the six (6) key environmental issues identified in this unit (e.g., climate change, food resources, water pollution, air pollution, energy, and wastes) to start this project. Getting started in your team:
1. Form teams, with a maximum size of 5 individuals.
2. Read Team X Module 1 (Introduction to Teams) on ilearn prior to your first team meeting. For Module 1, parts which you should focus on are:
· Part 1 – Defining Teams
· Part 2 – Teams vs Groups
· Part 5 – Understanding teamwork and taskwork, particularly the ‘Defining Taskwork and Teamwork? section
· Part 6 – Teamwork Skills

Stage 1: Poster
1. Read textbook Chapter 21 and get familiar with the business planning tools (e.g., the Lean Canvas method, a Customer Plan, or the Gumpert?s method). Select one of the business planning tools as your method of development.
2. For Stage 1 of this major project, you will work independently on a brief concept sustainable business plan for/as a local business (NSW, Australian) which addresses ONE environmental issue (the TEAM TOPIC).
3. Express your plan in a poster format targeting an NGO that you?ve identified as a possible stakeholder who would be interested in such a sustainable business plan for potential engagements.
4. Your plan will be showcased in the lecture during Week 6. You need to be ready to present your poster at the lecture (via zoom session, due to COVID-19).

Stage 2: Sustainable Business Plan 

1. Teams will discuss and decide on the best poster, from within their team, to further develop into a comprehensive sustainable business plan (excluding all financial elements) with a different target audience, the NSW Government.

2. For Stage 2 of this major project, you will assume that your team has been approached by the NSW Government for a potential government collaboration. Your team needs to develop and submit a sustainable business plan report outlining your proposed solution on how even small-scale benefits can help address, improve or tackle an environmental issue.

3. Your team?s Sustainable Business Plan must include the following 5 sections:
1) Executive Summary (Objective; values, vision and mission; existing business/start-up summary)
2) Business Description (General description and Business rationale; Industry background; Goals and potential; Uniqueness of product or service)
