These assignments are intended for you to delve deeper into the material either through application, critical analysis, and perhaps even some additional research into certain topics that interest you. Alternatively, you may apply course concepts to other observations outside of class, such as news or social media stories, TED talks, or other inspiration. In all assignments, follow the structure of EAR:

• Evidence: Provide a brief 1-2 paragraph background on the OB-related concept you are focusing on. Define and describe the concept using sources such as our textbook, your class lecture slides, and class notes (list your sources/references in a reference page at the end of the paper). Use only credible sources- online sources such as about.com or Wikipedia are not appropriate.

• Application: Describe your relevant personal experience or observation and how it relates to course material. Be sure to reference outside sources you refer to (e.g., news articles, videos, etc.), if any.

• Reflect: How does your personal experience or observation allow you to delve deeper into the material? Can you draw any conclusions, make recommendations or predictions, form an opinion, argument or critique? Additionally, do you have any personal feelings, beliefs, reactions, or attitudes to report about the experience or observation? What can you conclude based on your application?
