For Part 1, you will undertake some research that will assist you with defining the strength of the forces in Porter’s 5-Force Model. You will then suggest new ICTs that may have an impact on negative forces. You should discuss how the proposed ICTs alter the industry forces. The key point in this part is to be able to discuss what forces are negative and what/how ICTs can change such forces. This part is NOT about describing the ICTs that the company currently uses.

For Part 2, you will undertake some research that will assist you with (1) describing the linkages in the value chain of the typical firm within the industry and (2) illustrating how ICTs can enable and/or improve such linkages. The key point in this part is to be able to identify the linkages in the typical firm and discuss how ICTs support such linkages. Do NOT discuss the value-chain activities – only linkages and their supportive ICTs.

Your report must include the following:

A. Executive summary:

a. This is a one-page summary of the topics included in the main body of the report.

b. Word count of the executive summary is excluded from the suggested total word count.

B. Main body

a. This section included your discussion of the assignment topic

b. Use headings and subheadings (per typical business report) to separate logical discussion points

C. Conclusions

a. This is a one-page discussion of the outcome of the topics included in the main body
