Part A
You are to research and access tide height data (preferably at least over 24 hours) and then model the changes in tide height over time using a sine function based on the data from a location of your choice.

Part B
Mick Dundee wants to design a snazzy new boat for his Barra fishing company. He needs to make sure it will fit into the carriage of the wheel.
Your task is to design the cross-sectional hull of a boat that fits into the carriage and describe it with a mathematical function, keeping in mind the shape of the carriage and the maximum tidal height of the region.
 

Keep in mind the following limitations:
1. The hull of the carriage of the wheel will be described by the function + , where a is the maximum tide height + 1m (rounded to the nearest integer).
2. The length of the carriage is 20m.
3. The height of the water in the wheel is the same as the tidal height found in Part A
4. Choose how high you want the water to reach on your model and indicate this with a diagram.
