The paper will adopt a qualitative research design, with a multiple case study strategy aided by the semi-structured interview technique for data collection. The literature review will consider empirical case studies involving environmental sustainability and how project management implements them internationally and compared with the Middle East.
The practical research will realize the barriers and limitations imposed on project managers and the options and developments that can be implemented to improve environmental sustainability in projects.  Research Type The research project will be an exploratory study to develop knowledge and understanding of project management influence on the success of environmental sustainability within projects. Similar research has been published by authors seeking knowledge resulting from open questions including Symon and Cassell (2012) and Robson and McCartan (2016). Through descriptive research this research will increase knowledge management of the topic then explanatory research will analyze the cause and effect of the inter-relationship between project management and environmental sustainability
