Internal Code: IAH312 R Programming Assignment: Task: The Ministry of the Environment & Climate Change (MECG) is interested in completing an analytical study to determine the current state of global CO2 emissions, and how Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) can tackle the increasing global warming threats. Recently, there have been concerns that combating global issues suffers from ICT integration and development. MECG has asked you as a group of experts in big data analytics and science to investigate the issues by analyzing the existing available global dataset covering 146 countries across the globe for the period of 1996-2015. The attached dataset consists of the following variables: - Year, covering the above period. - Region - CO2: which is a dependent variable and is measured by kilo tones per capita The independent variables include: - GDPP: The Gross Domestic Products Per capita - ICT: which is an index of Mobile Phone subscribers, Broadband Internet access, Internet Usage and the Fixed Telephone lines. - Education: which is an index with a focus of higher education for each country. - Stability: Which an index of regional and political stability impacting each country. - Resistance, Which is an index of barriers (lack of regulations or internal resistance) - PR: The level of political right for each country (6 is the highest and zero is the lowest) - CL: Civil Liberty, the existing level of civil liberty for each country (6 is the highest and zero is the lowest) By examining these variables a recommendation of the most effective and efficient strategy regarding the state of global warming with ICT integration should be formed. In this context CO2 emission data is used as a measure for the existing global warming for each country. Report Content 1.Using R-Script investigate the Global CO2 emission by doing the followings: a) Perform an LM linear regression against depended and independent variables (screenshot of results required). b) Analyze the results by indicating the level of significant and other statistical outcomes that you found c) Provide scatter plots with a fitted line (red color) for the following variables: - CO2 and ICT - ICT and Education - ICT and CL - ICT and PL - CO2 and Education 2) Provide histogram, for CO2 (use color). 3) Compare R-regression results with SPSS ANOVA. 4) Analyze CO2 emission using SPSS Decision Tree Analysis. 5) Analysis your finding using Neural Network. 6) GLM analysis (univariate) with a focus on regional study. Your report and finding should focus on how ICT can tackle CO2 emissions. Despite the fact that ICT is an independent variable, it should be highlighted in your report and analysis. You need also provide global analysis as well as regional analysis. All screenshots should be placed in Appendix. Only important findings (graphs, charts…) should be placed in the main body of text (for clarity and support of your argument).
