Introduction

As part of Assignment 3 you are required to undertake a requirements analysis and business process modelling tasks for a business information systems project of BanhMi2U company (the same case study in your assignment 2). You are also asked to create a video presentation for your report in which you will pitch your recommendations to the organisation.

Case study

BanhMi2U is a chain of over twenty Vietnamese bread shops in the CBD and around Melbourne. "Banh Mi" is a popular Vietnamese baguette roll stuffed with butter, pâté, and a range of fillings (for example, crispy pork, crispy chicken, roast pork belly, and tofu) and topped with herbs, cucumber slices, and pickled veggies. BanhMi2U is owned and managed by a young couple, Mr. James Nguyen and Mrs. Kim Lancaster. In addition to bread rolls, they also offer other Asian cuisines, such as different types of dumplings and rice paper rolls. They have authentic menus, loyal customers, and positive reviews on popular Restaurant Review sites.

Specifically, Mr. Anuj Pandya now decided to have their own mobile app (i.e., BanhMi2U Driver) developed for the company to expand and enhance the quality of their food delivery services because using existing such as Menulog, Uber Eats, and Deliveroo is expensive and unsustainable.

The BanhMi2U Driver app will help the company improve customer satisfaction, grow its customer base, and build its reputation by providing a premium food delivery service. The app should be available on a wide range of mobile devices.

As a step in implementing their digital solution, BanhMi2U plan to develop a new food delivery mobile solution. At this stage, BanhMi2U has provided you with the following initial information for the projects that they collected from the users of the app (i.e., drivers) and other relevant stakeholders of the project (i.e., sales managers, waiters, customers).

Assignment Tasks

In this assignment, you are required to undertake the following tasks:

1. Identify and describe TWO techniques to gather and elicit business requirements that you find most useful for requirements elicitation for the BanhMi2U Driver app development. For each technique, explain and justify your selection and apply them to gather and elicit users’ requirements for the BanhMi2U Driver app project. Note: to complete this task, you may want to review week 4 and week 7 learning materials.
2. Develop a Business Process Modelling that illustrates the BanhMi2U Driver app Process.
3. Make assumptions to support your Business Process Model.
4. Create a 3-minute video presentation for your report in which you will pitch your business solution, i.e., recommendations for developing and implementing the BanhMi2U Driver app. In your presentation, summarise the benefits and potential issues of developing and implementing BanhMi2U Driver app. Note that your target audience is BanhMi2U Managers (i.e., Mr. James Nguyen, Mrs. Kim Lancaster, and Mr. Anuj Pandya).
