2. Identify functional dependencies, referential integrity, data integrity and security requirements; Further integrate and merge physical design by applying normalization techniques.

3. Design and build a database system using the knowledge acquired in the unit as well as through further research on recent trends to demonstrate competence in various advanced tasks with regard to modelling, designing, and implementing a DBMS including Data warehousing, Data Management, DB Security.

1.1 INTRODUCTION: 

Prestige Automotive Rental (PAR) is a company that rentals old vehicles to the public. To keep track of their clients and their rents, PAR has been using manual processes. The firm, however, would now like to go online to encourage customers to check and see their rental history for the available vehicles. Data (name, address, phone number, driving licence number and credit card number) are registered for the first time when the customer rentals a vehicle from PAR. Often stored is the day they became a consumer. There are some kinds of cars that are known as heavy vehicles. It is a PAR policy that these cars are leased exclusively to consumers who do not have demerit points on their driving licence. Vehicle information (type, registration number, year / make / model, vin number, travel distance and current condition) is also processed. There is a special ID on each car. The client will look for the vehicle they want and can see if it is available. Both rentals are 7 days long. The rental fee is dependent on the vehicle type (Car (C) or Heavy Duty (HD)). On set, leasing needs to be accounted for up to 2 cars at a time can be leased by customers. For one customer, each rental ID is for a single car. (An auto number is a rental ID). The date of checkout is reported along with the estimated due date (7 days from the date of checkout) when the rental is deleted. When the rental is returned, the date will be reported as the date returned. To recognise poor tenants, PAR would like to store 'Demerit' points for the renter. Such demerit points are accrued when a rental is overdue at a rate of one point per day. The membership of clients with too many demerit points would be cancelled by PAR.

1.3 RELATIONAL SCHEMA:

The relationship schema describes the relationship configuration and configuration as consisting of the name of the relationship, the collection of attributes / names of fields / names of columns. There will be a related domain for every attribute.

1.5 PHYSICAL DESIGN AND ASSUMPTIONS:

Physical design:
Customers and the Car Rental Organization (CRO) would benefit from this system. The system currently available offers the leasing process between the clients and the Car Rental Agency. In the new scheme, passengers can pick and book a rental car online. This is one way for the Car Rental Organization to do it. The two-way market for the Car Rental Company would be provided by our proposed system. PAR will consent to offer their vehicle on a regular, weekly rental basis between the car rental organisations.
A customer gets registered before booking vehicle for rent. Customers account is tracked on the basis of its demerit points, and further termination of account depends on demerit points.
