1. The basic theory of communication is a seven-step process (see Rai & Rai, 2009, pp. 6-17). Why must we follow the basic theory of communication when composing a business email?

To avoid potential legal consequences, many organisations have policies outlining the acceptable usage of organisational email facilities. Outline and explain at least four (4) unacceptable usages of a company’s email facilities.

4. Al-Maskari (2012, pp. 55-69) and Snyder and Forbus (2014, pp. 13-25) both outline several important points to consider when composing a professional email. Outline five (5) of these points and explain why each point is important.

5. Is email an appropriate channel for all forms of business communication? Outline and explain your reasons as to why you do, or do not consider email to be an appropriate channel for all business communication.
