Students will complete five separate entries of 300 words each (+/- 10%) covering each of the five topics in Weeks 2-6 of the unit. Each entry will provide a close analysis of one of the episodes set as a required screening, and will relate that episode to the topic of the week. 
You should not provide a recap of the episode you have chosen, nor an overview of the program from which it is drawn. In producing a focused entry, you might find it
useful to analyse a particular scene, or character, or narrative thread in your chosen episode that helps you to make a connection with the topic for that week. I will
provide examples of short pieces on television that will offer you some ideas about how you might structure your own log entries. You will need to refer to the required reading set for each week in your entries (with the exception of Week 4, in which you will only refer to the required reading that relates to your chosen program). You may refer to other academic or non-academic sources if you wish, but it is not necessary. Please list all sources in a combined reference list at the end of the reading log. Please use APA referencing for this task. If in any doubt, please consult this guide. Although the assessment is due in Week 7, I encourage you to work on your
Television Log every week as we cover each topic. You will have a chance to workshop one of your entries in your tutorial in Week 6. Please submit the Television Log as one single word document through the Turnitin link.
