Requirements 
Multinational corporations (MNCs) are facing an increasingly competitive landscape. An uncertain global economic and political outlook, together with cultural and institutional differences between ‘home’ and ‘host’ countries, creates a challenging scenario for  organisations to manage their human resource policies and practices across different global locations. 
Choose TWO of the following countries: China, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia and consider the international human resource management challenges. Specifically: 
1. What are the main institutional differences between the home and host countries that could impact on the design and development of international human resource management strategies? These could include: international employee relations management; pay and reward systems; global training and talent development for employees. 
2. What are the main cultural differences between the home and host countries that are likely to challenge the organisation in the recruitment and selection of employees? 
3. Would it be possible for organisations to standardize their HRM policies and  practices across the selected home and host countries? If yes, explain why. If not,  why not?
