Assignment Description

This assignment consists of three parts and should be done in group with not more than 3 students in a group. Part 1 is the configuration of POX controller, Part 2 is the creation of SDN network with Python code and Part 3 is the demonstration of either Part 1 or Part 2 in the form of a video presentation. The details about the video presentation is discussed in the subsequent Part 3. The Mininet open-source network simulator should be used to perform all the tasks Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.

POX controller in SDN is a communication framework for communicating SND switches with the OpenFlow protocol. While configuring the controller at Figure 1., use forwarding.l2_pairs, info.packet_dump, samples.pretty_log, and log.level stock components to make POX like a layer 2 learning switch. In your configuration, check the flow table and the ARP table of all the switches.
