Born and brought up in a small town of Rajasthan in the Bania community, money had always been an intrinsic part of my life. Escapism from poverty was the only motivation for me to study in my childhood. 

I am proud of the fact that I am the only graduate in the family who holds a professional degree and who has come out of the small town to study and earn. My only aim in college was to get a job, which could help me stabilize my family finances. Although, subjects related to business, entrepreneurship and management have always excited me and I pursued those interests through participating in various business-related events and competitions.

I started my professional journey as Graduate Engineer trainee in one of the leading construction MNC Shapoorji Pallonji, managing few labors in the beginning at Secretariat project in MP, India and working as a finishing engineer in a 5-star Hilton hotel project in heart of the Riyadh city, KSA to working as a  Project coordinator, though not officially designated, for Security houses Township project in midst of the desert in the Border area of Saudi Arabia.

I must admit the fact that the kind of varied exposure and experiences I gained while working at Shapoorji was unique and invaluable. 

As a construction professional, I got the opportunity and exposure to work in different environments, functions, and roles ranging from leading a team of Engineers, Supervisors, and laborers from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds, conducting recruitment drive in the Philippines and India to presenting cashflows and progress status to VP of the company and to name a few. 

All these diverse personal and professional experiences have instilled in me the ability to work in different situations, to multitask and most importantly to become a lifelong learner. 

While working in Shapoorji Pallonji Int, I got the opportunity to interact, learn and lead people from diverse backgrounds, cultures,s, and nationalities; I have worked in various verticals of construction, be it planning, site execution, contracts, and other project management and coordination works. All these experiences in a short span of my career have turned me into a complete professional with a holistic vision.

Coming from a Civil engineering background and having worked for over 5 years internationally, managing resources, manpower, and materials, MBA as the next step for career progression comes as an obvious choice to me.

Leveraging my past experience, in which managing people and resources account for the majority of my work, the Executive Program in Management from IIM Bangalore will help me to accelerate my career in a similar field with enhanced vision and abilities.

Though I have gained quality experience in my current profession, I believe that the Executive program in management from IIM Bangalore will broaden my view and will enable me to contribute more to the organization and society in general. 

Moreover, management education will also help me to develop my entrepreneurial instincts and to streamline and to assist my family in scaling our family business of Kota stone processing, a micro processing unit, under MSME.
