1. You will need to design a benchmarking specimen in a CAD program of your choice and provide STL and CAD files for me to 3D print on
2. Redesign an existing part model to be manufactured using additive manufacturing process, the existing part model was manufactured using subtractive machining process.
 

• Your benchmarking specimen will need to test the manufacturing limits of at least 6 different design features such as the minimum manufacturable size or limit of: vertical holes, horizontal holes, wall thickness, gap thickness, rod thickness, text size, unsupported inclination angle, unsupported span length, surface roughness, positional repeatability etc.
•  Your benchmarking specimen should be no larger than 100(w) x 100(d) x 50(h) mm and you should aim to avoid material wastage and minimise the size of the part as much as possible i.e. we want to extract as much information as possible from the part we manufacture.
• The part should not use any support material to manufacture the required features (apart from rafts to attach the part to the build plate if required).
