The dataset that I have decided to use for my assignment is a dataset that involves Oscar nominees and winners 1927 to present, it will include field names such as year, category, winner, and entity. There’re many different categories like an actor in a supporting role, Actress, directing, etc, so with this dataset there is a lot of data to hold in the database especially with all the years that the data will have to hold. The reason I’ve chosen this dataset is that I like movies and I know a good few actors so it is a data set that I’m interested in. I was able to find the dataset on datahub.io after doing research and trying to find a dataset that I would like I decided this is the one that I’m going with 

Implementation plan:

• Start slowly developing the back-end Python Flask API.

• Start improving the API to make sure that it is up to standard.

• Start introducing the Mongo DB.

• Introduce main database operations like a store, retrieve modify, delete. 

• Provide a login so the API is authentic with the user’s real name an encrypted password.

• Test my API and keep documentation of what is working and what isn’t working for the system. 

• Develop the front-end application using Angular.

• Develop and demonstrate a range of Angular directives.

• Make sure that the application is structured well and that it is up to standard with no bugs so that I am able to get as high marks as possible. 

• Document and test the front-end application.
