Part A: Group report
Background
This group assignment requires the completion and submission of a business report of 2,000 words that analyses the financial position and performance of an ASX-listed company for a three-year period (2020-2022).
Students will self-select their groups, with all groups strictly consisting of two or three members. Once you have formed your groups and enrolled into a group on CloudDeakin, the unit chair will assign a company to the group. Every student must enrol into a group on CloudDeakin site by Friday 9 th December 2022. You will be advised of your company via your Cloud Deakin group discussion forum after forming your group.
A student is not able to withdraw from the team if they have been allocated to in CloudDeakin unless the student decides to withdraw from the unit. In that case, the withdrawing student must, as a courtesy, inform the unit chair so the team impacted by the withdrawal can be informed.

Assume that you are a group of business consultants assigned to produce a report for potential investors. In preparing for producing the business consultant report, you are required to:
To produce a comprehensive analysis of the company, you need to include additional relevant information in relation to the performance of the company, the existence of competitors, and regulatory and/or environmental factors impacting the company or industry. You must utilize relevant financial press (such as The Age, Financial Review, The Australian, or other relevant online business sites*) in doing research of the company to support your report. A minimum of four relevant articles (either to the company or industry sector) over the period of analysis must be incorporated into the report discussion.

Each group member is expected to contribute equally, and the assessment panel reserves the right to have a peer performance review as part of the assessment grading, should any group request it, based on the group interpretation of individual performance. Each group must submit a report rather than an assignment with disjointed pieces written by different group members. The group as a whole must ensure all the fonts, tables, space between paragraphs and reference list are presented in a consistent manner and the discussion in the report is presented in a logical flow.

Please make sure to read Assignment 2 Guideline and check Assignment 2 marking rubric to understand how your assignment will be marked. To make your teamwork visible and to effectively manage your team’s tasks, communication, milestones, files and progress, you have access to Microsoft Teams. Using MS Teams will also allow you to fully and constructively capture the evidence of how you ‘collaborated with peers to present and defend financial information and decisions’. This evidence is crucial in supporting your evaluation and reflection part of this task
Part C: Individual self-evaluation and reflection
In this part, you will be graded on how you managed yourself in the project . Regardless of team project challenges, you need to self-evaluate and self-reflect on your experiences and how you can apply your learnt lessons in future teamwork projects.
To demonstrate your self-evaluation and self-reflection, you must keep a record of your team and individual activities. Your evidence can be presented in your appendices, which may include: team contracts, meeting agendas, minutes of meetings and action items, project milestones and deadlines, written communications within the team (e.g., email, chat, forums, MS Teams communication and collaboration, MS Planner notes, etc.), peer feedback, SWOT analysis of individual teamwork performance, and other relevant evidence. Please note that the appendix containing your evidence will not be counted in the word count.
