Description: Group research proposal : 500-words (5%)

You need to develop a research proposal with your group members on the internationalization of a product /service to a particular country after evaluating the business environment in three countries. This proposal (5%) is only the first part of the overall project on the internationalization of a product/service. The second part of the project (35%) is on the assessment of the business environment in different countries. The third part (30%) is to evaluate different internationalization options and strategies for your chosen product or service to a specific country.

In order to execute the overall project, you will work as part of a group of THREE where each team member will contribute to the overall project. The team has already been provided with the project brief, which is based on live case on UltraLuxWater (See Annexure B). Each team member must choose a country out of the following 5 (India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore or Vietnam and analyze the business environment in that country (assignment 2). In assignment 3, the team comes together and compares the three countries and to assess the most feasible entry strategy into that country.

For the research proposal you need to:
 

1. Organise yourself in a group of three. I suggest that you do some networking with other students in the Unit to identify common research interest. You can also post a message on the Cloud Deakin site to let other students know what your interests are and share ideas about topics etc.
2. Enroll into a group in Cloud Deakin in the MPM735 site. Once you have spoken to a few students you will need to come to an agreement about what country you are doing, and you need to formally enroll into a group on Cloud Deakin.

The structure of the 500-word research proposal must comprise the following:

(1) Project Title: Provide a meaningful title which captures the issue which you are investigating (maximum 15 words)
(2) Name of each group members
(3) Introduction and background:
You need to introduce the topic to the reader in such a way that the reader has an appreciation of the issues at hand and why it is important to investigate the issue. Here you need to briefly describe the product/service and indicate why you are choosing the three countries.
(4) Brief objectives of the project – what do you want to achieve through your investigation? Ideally you should identify 2 main objectives which the report aims to fulfil in point form (dot point is OK)
