Contest

This assessment task requires you to virtually explore the room’s division area within a luxury hotel in the CBD, observe and then share your finding with your peers in the form of a presentation.

Instructions:

This assessment task requires you, as a group (of 5), to present the findings of your virtual observations of the rooms division of a hotel.

• The group will present the main findings for 10 minutes, followed by 5 minutes Q&A and feedback.           

Your presentation should include

• Brief description on hotel’s corporate group/brand and website information/quality
• Hotel’s online reviews and feedback
• Mood board based on your online observations of the hotels front office, and guestrooms.

Observation points guiding your research (but not limited to this only)

•  Hotel related
•  Part of a chain
•  Any history
•  Website information & appearance 

Mood board should be based on the front office and rooms facilities including:

• Online images and description of facilities available off Lobby or as advertised (i.e. WC, F&B outlets, reception, bell desk, luggage, Concierge, business centre, facilities for disabled) – relate this to this business’ market segment

• Interior Design of Lobby description, suitability and usefulness, relate it to the customers target market
