Case Study - Ms Mia Granous Ms Mia Granous is a 50-year-old female who has been an inpatient on the trauma ward following a motor vehicle accident (MVA). She sustained a fractured femur and has undergone an open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) seven days ago. 
a She has been cleared for discharge and is waiting for INS her son to pick her up. You are helping her get her belongings organised when she complains of sudden onset of severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea and vomiting. She also appears to be photophobic. 

She has a history of migraine type headache, but claims she usually experiences some type of warning or aura before the onset of headache. She says although the headache is similar to her migraines it was much more sudden in onset and it is much more severe than normal. 
You review her clinical charts and note her most recent vital signs as: BP 162/78mmHg, HR 105bpm, RR 22bpm, SpO2 97%, temp 36.2
